Does calming lotions really help the redness? I would like to calm it down some. Help.

What, would you say,is the absolute best over the counter treatment for Rosacea?

My boyfriend worked in a factory which produced a lot of hot steam and now consequently suffers with terrible skin on his face. He was diagnosed with rosacea and has used different creams such as E45, Aquaeus, oilatum etc which have done him no good. He visitied his doctor yesterday and has now been prescribed with antibiotics. After reading up on this skin condition I guess he has been misdiagnosed. His skin is so red, inflamed, rash like around his cheek bones and forehead areas until it drys and flakes off making it raw underneath.

Does any one have similar problems? could this be a type of rosacea? I dont think it is but hey, im open to any help my suffering boyfriend.

He no longer works at the factory and left there years ago. He has suffered with it since he left there.

hey, i know a lot of teenagers get spots but i would die to have the spots that they get. I have gotten rosacea really early and its a nightmare. Can anyone recommend any remedies of clearing it up without seeing a doctor? the Rosex cream that they gave me really hasn’t done anything for me, and because of the blemeshes if i wear makeup to cover it it doesn’t sit on my skin because it is so bumpy, and just makes me break out more. please help x
Were kinda really tight for money so a dermo isnt an option. But im only 15, because its a medical condition not just me wanting cosmetic treatment would i be able to go to a dermo on NHS?

im 14, but i my cheeks are always red, i blush easily, and they get really red after i go from an environment that is like hot to cold or exercise or somethin like that. also, my mom has it and i heard it can be hereditary.
anyway, just wondering, can u tell if you have rosacea as a teen?

i dont have it yet, but i fear i will.

my skin has actually never been that bad (knock on wood, knock on wood), even though i probably dont take care of it as well as i’m supposed to. i just get a zit, at most 3, around the side of my nose every now and then.

my mom has bad rosacea though, as does my aunt. is there something i can do everyday that will prevent it? thanks.

I get anxiety attacks often, which usually cause hot flashes/flushes.

But I read that excessive flushing may lead to rosacea.

When I flush and get hot flashes, I’ll take my temperature to make sure nothing is out of the ordinary. It’s always under 99, so I am nowhere near fever.

As it happens, I now constantly have red on my cheeks. I also have very tiny red papules that are beneath the skin, but barely noticeable unless closely examined.

So might this situation lead to rosacea?
