I have mild-moderate redness on one cheek and my chin from rosacea. I rarely have any bumps, mostly redness. What is the best treatments for this? I have been pretty successful with hydrocortisone but it seems to work less and less.

Can anyone recommend a foundation for Rosacea ? Preferably a liquid foundation, as the powders seem to cake, and not cover very well. It seems the more research I do, the more confused I get. I have read that certain ingredients such as mica, which is in some mineral makeups are not good for Rosacea. Any suggestions, or personal experiences you have had with positive results most welcome. Thanks for any help.

I have rosacea and oily-ness around the nose, and extremely huge pores that at the end of the day, after wearing make-up and such, seem to get clogged i guess and i get a bunch of tiny tiny zits on my cheeks.
so what i do to wash my face is i wash with soap then use a neutrogena foaming scrubbing pad and scrub scrub scrub SCRUB a lot to get rid of those tiny pimples, clean the pores, and scratch off dead skin, then i dry off and use Olay refreshing toner.
I’m just wondering if what I am doing is best for my skin, especially if i should be scrubbing that much, because tonight my face started bleeding a tiny bit. then after words it feels tight, dry, and rough but feels smooth.
i’m also worried that maybe if i keep washing my face the way i do now, in 15 years or so it’ll become tough like leather or something. is that a rational fear?
is there anything i could be doing differently for my skin? what products are good for cleansing pores really super well and wont make me bleed?

Skin is red with open pores and very dry, used antibiotic creams- no use and now have no ideas. Also used aqueous to help with dryness and has helped to some small extent. Any natural products that will help?

My face always has a red flush to it, and it’s not rosacea.
They’re broken capillaries, but they’re always there.
I know green cover will make them look like they’re not there, but how can I actually get rid of them?
I can’t do the laser removal, and I would prefer something I could make/do on my own.
Does ice help?
Or is ice just temporary?

I think I may have the opening stage of Rosacea, because I have been experiencing mild redness on the nose and the cheeks. Is there any way to treat this condition?

I’ve tried everything from being on birth control to wearing no makeup to putting that nasty NuOx on my face. And still blackheads abound on my nose and chin. The red spots have cleared up somewhat but the blackheads are just gross. Rosacea runs in my family and I’m trying if at all possible to prevent it from happening. Any tips?

I went about a month ago to the dermatologist to see what she could do about my acne. I have mild acne/rosacea on my forhead and cheeks. Its ugly bulgy and some look like craters. She gave me an anti-biodic called Nicomide which is to be taken twice a day. And she also gave me a gel topic cream called Finacea which I also put on twice a day on my face. I saw almost no improvement in this month that I have been doing this. I plan to go back to the dermatologist this week. I need help in what do I say to her. What if she gives me some other cream crap that doesn’t do shit. Or should I ask about the laser treatments. I need help, Please.

Rosacea developed in my late 30’s and was not treated for a few years. (no money, no insurance). If I do not take my oral antibiotic daily and use the cream, my face breaks out really bad. It never completely clears, I always have red bumps of some degree or another. I do watch my diet, temp. changes, sun exposer, ect. I have friends with Rosacea and their faces look so much better and they don’t use their meds regularly! Does my face not clear because I left it untreated at first?

I was diagnosed with rosacea, and my dermatologist prescribed Metrogel. It instantly made my skin less reactive, which is good. (The redness I had remained, however.) My question is: the dermatologist expects me to use Metrogel every day forever. Is this reasonable? Are there any side effects/things to worry about? Will it produce any negative changes in my skin?
(One of the reasons I went ahead with the Metrogel is this: I’ve also developed some symptoms of ocular rosacea, and I’ve read that treating the skin rosacea will slow the progress of ocular rosacea.)
Thanks.
