Has anyone tried IPL for rosacea?

I tried it for dark upper lip hair on my white skin which is supposed to have a high percentage of working in that scenario, but it didn’t work at all. I’ve had a skin specialists nurse recommend I try IPL, but it costs 0 a time & I’d need to go at least 3 times & because it didn’t work for hair removal I’m wondering if it won’t work for the rosacea either. Also it was painful emough having it done on my upper lip, let alone my whole face! Upper lip only took 5 minutes, but the whole face apparently takes an hour! I imagine that is fairly excruciating.
Well with the hair removal thing I did it 10 times! And it did nothing.

0 is the going rate for the whole face in my country.

I had some broken capillaries on the bridge of my nose cauterised (very painful too) but they just reappeared 2 months later anyway! I’m thinking the same thing will happen with the laser thing.

rosacea with laser treatment?

my dermatologist said that if I get laser treatment done that my capillaries will not dilate as much that they will appear smaller. This happens the third time you get it done and it is 0 per treatment. My question is: after I get my treatments done how ever long it takes for my rosacea not to react or whatever will this cure my rosacea or will it just help clear it for two weeks to a month? Whoever went through this or knows anything on this I need your help please.

How to convince my husband to see a Skin Specialist?

My husband has red skin on his cheeks and it looks like sunburn from wearing sunglasses. His nose is also red and has very big pores. He is very fair skinned and it looks to me like a slight case of Rosacea.

I have mentioned he should go see a dermatologist, but he always says no. He doesn’t think his skin is that bad. I would love for his skin to be healthy and taken care of. He also tends to scrub his face really hard to try clear the pores on his nose. I think this makes it worse.

If I can’t get him to see a specialist – is there any suggestion on what is the best skin care range to use for the condition, creams, etc?

IPL laser treatment for rosacea?

I have rosacea and I was wondering if anyone has tried IPL laser treatments to solve this problem. If so, I wish to know if it worked, how many treatments it took, how much it cost, and what type of lasers were used. I live near Beverly Hills so I can pretty much get any treatment done, but I want to know what works and I trust patients ten times more than doctors! Any suggestions?

Any rosacea remedies? Does diet play a role?

I’ve tried many topical products, most of which were extremely irritating to my sensitive skin. I was taking doxycycline for an eye infection and as expected, my skin started to clear up. However, given that it is an antibiotic, I had to stop taking it eventually, and my ruddy complexion reappeared. Birth control pills were also effective, but not a natural approach. Has anyone with rosacea seen a difference by altering their diet? I’d be interested to know what the diet consisted of, if so.

I have a consult but am just curious if anyone else has done anything what they thought and what it cost them..

My skin is very red and blotchy. I feel like I have to wear makeup all the time. There are lots of clogged poors, as well. I wouldnt say it looks like typical achne. It also feels really warm all the time… it’s uncomfortable. I don’t know if it’s genetic, but, my mom was recently diagnosed with Rosacea. But, I’m only 21. I want my face fixed, but my military coverage isn’t so quick to send me to a skin specialist. I really don’t have any money to spend on myself, having a new family. I don’t know what to do, so here I am. Do you think it is important that I push some things to the side and get to a specialist? Are they expensive to visit for a diagnosis?
The redness has been there for about 2 or three years, but it’s progressively getting worse =(
WOW. From What ya’ll are saying, it looks like I’ll be runnin round lookin like a clown the rest of my life.
P.S. I’m a military dependent… so, even if the military for some odd reason decided to help me, they wouldn’t cover the entire treament… it would still cost me an arm and a leg.
