its not severe, but my face gets really sensitive when using harsh products. it also gets irritating when my face gets too oily or when my face gets flaky. but i’ve read about the symptoms about rosacea and i thought maybe that could be it. but then i dont have pimples, just minor bumps.. its not smooth anymore because of the products i’ve used. it’s not always red but it does get a bit pink after a while.

Rosacea doens’t happen because of harsh products, it won’t be a reaction to soaps or moisturizers. Rosacea is persistent and needs medication to relieve it.
If you think your skin is just reacting to harsh products – try something better. Arbonne International uses all natural, all botanical, pH balanced GENTLE SAFE ingredients in all their products. Give it a try! I have very sensitive skin, and these products work for me, and keep my face from going all pink and flaky…

Sounds like it could be rosacea. Have your MD refer you to a dermatologist.
Here’s some info on rosacea….but I would recommend seeing a dermatologist for help.

You sound like you might have a mild case. Do you get redder when you eat spicy foods or flushed more when it is hot? Those are also symptoms. You should probably go to a doctor to see if you have it. I have mild rosacea and I don’t treat it. As a matter of fact, I have been using products with some ingrediants that they tell rosacea sufferers to avoid with great sucess. My skin looks great for my age. I have been diagnosed by several aestheticians and doctors but the doctor didn’t think I needed to do anything yet and the aesthetician wanted to sell me product. As I get older, if it gets worse, I might have to have it treated. However, I have had it for years and haven’t noticed it getting worse.
According to the site I included, you need to start to worry when your skin stays red for long periods of time. Or, if your skin gets really bumpy or develops pussy sores (ew!). My flushing goes away almost immdiately and I only get bumpy in the heat.
