DIAGNOSE MY SYMPTOMS
My chest has a permanent sunburned look. I am fair skinned and have unfortunately been a worshiper for many years. I used to drink fairly heavily but not anymore at all. Sober 3 years. No high blood pressure.

There is a specific condition, which is caused by thinning of the skin and broken capillaries are a consequence of exposure and pressure through weakening (name of condition escapes me, but was featured on MSN last week.) Psoriasis or Eczema could be alternative causes. Seek advice form your GP, who should be able to advise you of your best course of action. If it were Rosacea, Psoriasis or Eczema, don’t be tempted to opt for lazer therapy as this can make the skin look even worse and create more damage than it resolves.
In the UK, there is a surgeon who has found a new method of treatment – serendipitously, as it was being used to resolve a completely different condition – this may be worth a look, as if the condition is unresponsive to medication, he will take non-private (non-paying) patients. At least you have stopped all the bad habits (which we are all prone to have taken part in, just some are luckier than others).
Hope you are successful in resolving your concerns.
