Do you think makeup foundation that you put on your face that is not organic can cause cancer from all the chemicals in it? Especially, parabens and phylates? I had thyroid cancer and since then have been trying to be as healthy as possible and are scared of getting another cancer. I try to eat organic etc. The one thing I can’t stop wearing is foundation. I have scars and rosacea and mineral foundation does not cover it. So, I wear foundation. I am in a bad mood if I don’t wear it. I am worried it causes cancer though. Thoughts?

I am talking mainly about Rosacea and Lupus (the skin rash symptoms). I don’t find this particularly useful or helpful in trying to gain a broader insight into these conditions. It doesn’t represent the varying degrees of severity of these conditions for which there are many. Does anyone else agree?

I recently went to the doctor to fix my skin. I have, well had, rosacea. My skin is very sensitive and was getting pinkinsh red and spider veins were visible on my face from the littlest pressure applied to it. I would get small spider veins on the side of my nose when I had colds. I had laser treatment on it and it is as if I never had anything wrong with my face. i want to get a nose ring but am afraid of getting spider veins on the side of my nose.I really want a nose piercing but I really don’t want any part of my skin to look like it did before.Can i get one without harming my skin?

Hello! I need help!!! I have both rosacea AND acne. I have been told my whole life NOT to use any products with salicylic acid becuz it makes the rosacea even worse. Which does seem to be true. But, i think that the salicylic acid is the best thing to treat zits. So i need an alternative. my whole face is covered in little tiny bumps and then a few actual zits.
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE BEST WAY TO TREAT ACNE/ZITS IF YOU HAVE ROSACEA????
this is super depressing for me. i also don’t have insurance so i can’t go to a doctor. and don’t suggest proactive–becuz that burns my face off!!!!
i have used metrol gel also. it seems to have the opposite effect on skin…and burns and gets red.

maybe i am just looking for a really good acne medication that does NOT have salicylic acid in it!! anyone know one of those??

I have MGD and also seborrheic dermatitis at the moment. I am hoping that it isn’t Ocular Rosacea, but if it is, is it possible to not develop any other sub type of Rosacea?

Is there any all naturals herbal remedies to help with this? The reason I am asking this is because some spa’s/salons have what is called a Rosacea facial. I have had this done and my Rosacea clears up right after the treatment. No redness whatsoever! =) Thanks.
